Meet our seasoned instructor, Sharath, who draws from an extensive 15-year background in teaching, assisting, and training across diverse locations, primarily in India (Mysore, Goa, Rishikesh, Dharamshala) and various countries worldwide, including Mexico, Guatemala, Europe, Thailand, and Bali. With a wealth of experience, Sharath has meticulously crafted this 50-hours module to offer a highly educational, practical, and transformative experience. The course is intentionally designed to challenge and nurture individuals at all proficiency levels.

RACHEL BERRYMAN

Coming from a background of 20 years of ballet and contemporary dance training, Rachel has always been interested in working with the body and the amazing capacity our bodies have. Rachel has been practicing yoga for 14 years and has taught over 5000+ hours of yoga classes and teacher trainings. Originally from the U.S.A., she has been a lead teacher in over 30 yoga teacher training courses world-wide. Rachel teaches Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and Restorative yoga classes, as well as applied anatomy, teaching methodology, adjustments, and alignment classes.

MENIK

Menik officially enrolled in her first yoga class in January 2015 in order to seek balance between long working hours as a medical doctor in hospital and self-love practice. It turned out was a totally rewarding experience for her, not only in physical level but also gave her a sense of tranquility when she surrendered in Savasana. Since then yoga has become an important part of her life. Not long after her first class, she completed her 200hr Hatha Yoga Teacher Training through Sama Yoga School in April 2016. She also enrolled and gained another trainings and certifications with various teachers throughout her journey in yoga, including Heart of Yoga, Radiant Passage and Fly High Yoga alongwith many other workshops. Her path in yoga is a life changing journey outside her medical carrier which gives her dozens of opportunities to grow spiritually. Soon she realises that she has a big passion to share the wisdom of yoga not only in regular yoga classes but also through teaching in yoga teacher training courses mainly as anatomy and prenatal yoga teacher. Her passions are yoga anatomy, hatha flow along with chanting, fly high yoga, prenatal yoga, yin yoga and yin-yang yoga. As a Balinese woman who was born and growing up in Bali, she has a great privilege to immerse her life in this beautiful and spirit-filled island where karma yoga, bhakti yoga, meditation, tapas, offerings, rich culture are part of daily life. She is grateful to have the opportunity to share the intertwine of knowledges between western medicine and the ancient wisdom of yoga during her class.

Ippoliti’s yoga journey started in 2010. At the time she was searching for something that would help her get rid of the anxiety and the pressure of corporate work. Her daily practice made her seek something beyond physical exercise. That’s how she started her first yoga training. Ippoliti creates a safe and comfortable space to release physical and emotional tension that allows for true healing to begin. Her classes help you bring mindfulness to your daily life, encourage you to explore your limits and give you a deep understanding of your yoga practice.

HIMANSHU BAHUGUNA​

Himanshu comes from a traditional yoga family in India, where he completed his 500 RYT, B.A Degree in Yoga & Naturopathy and M.A. (yoga) degree from Uttrakhand Sanskrit University of India. Himanshu is combining his young and enthusiastic attitude with a technical asana approach and is most passionate about inspiring his students to improve their practice for long-term health, well-being and fitness goals. He has taught various yoga styles and currently focuses in the Hatha and Ashtanga-Vinyasa traditions. Himanshu is also experienced in asana theory, adjustments, and yoga alignment. He has previously taught in 200hr and 300hr teacher training courses back in India and since then is the lead teacher of YogaUnion.

Eleni Chantzara started since 2009 her journey to Yoga! Early on she understood the treasures that were lying under that magical technique and philosophy of yoga. The practice became part of her daily life and that still goes on.She has been teaching yoga for more than ten years focusing on the self love and connection that happens in a yoga class, complimenting a soft, compassionate heart and a strong mind and body.

The healing and therapeutic effects of exploring awareness and being in the body inspire Anna to be an eternal student of yoga. She is an educated IAYT Yoga Therapist and certified to teach Hatha yoga, Vinyasa yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Medical Yoga, Akhanda Yoga, Lunar yoga and Yoga Nidra. Since 2014 she has been teaching classes, retreats and trainings in Sweden, Bali and Brazil. Nervous system science, subtle energy and yogic philosophy are her favourite geek areas. Yoga can be a door to meet yourself where you are with curiosity and to open for growth and transformation – having the honour to share this magic makes teaching yoga deeply meaningful to her.

After graduating from a Law school, Aakanksha decided to go on a journey to finding a deeper meaning and purpose in life. Since finding Yoga, she has been able to find balance and inner peace and decided to dedicate herself to translating her experience and passion into becoming a yoga teacher. After becoming a 500RYT she has been teaching Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, Therapeutic, Restorative and Yin Yoga back home in India. The Experience

The Course

Based on thousands of hours of experience from all over the world, YogaUnionWorld & One Soul carefully created and shaped the course to deliver the most educational, life-changing experience. The training is designed to challenge and develop individuals at all levels who are only available to attend the classes on the weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) twice a month for 6 months. Our 200hr course specialises in Vinyasa Ashtanga Yoga, with a strong focus on the Asana practice.

You Can Expect

Daily, mornings will begin with an hour of pranayama, meditation and mantra chanting, followed by a Vinyasa flow class.

Late mornings are focused on deep learning of asanas with an emphasis on alignment, adjustments & teaching methodology. You will dive into the theoretical part of Asanas, early afternoons you will study Yoga Philosophy or Anatomy (alternating days).

The afternoon lessons will be focused on restorative styles of yoga such as Yin, Hatha & Nidra and specialized workshops.
Far from the traditional approach, we maintain a very high standard of teaching whilst making our classes extremely fun and interactive.

From day one, you will start teaching a few minutes of Vinyasa lesson that will help you to have the confidence to teach a lesson at the end of your course.

Hygiene Practises

The safety of our students is our top priority and we continuously follow all up-to-date safety protocols, as well as local authorities requirements.

A few important things to note:

  • In respect to the safety regulations, the students are required to bring their own Yoga Mat, belt.

Requirements

Yoga Practice: The more comfortable you are as a yoga practitioner, the more you will be able to focus on the teaching and transformational aspects of your training. To take most out of the training we recommend a foundation in fundamental yoga postures.

Our course manual book will be provided in English. However, material and lessons will be delivered in clear and not over-complicated Greek and so is the exam.

Attendance: To ensure the success of the training, participants are required to attend all the classes and lectures.

Delivering a 30 minutes Vinyasa flow class to your fellow yogis and receiving constructive feedback from your head teacher.

Taking a 3 hour written exam focused on Asana analysis, Philosophy & Anatomy.

Diploma

Successful graduates of the course receive an internationally recognized certification by the Yoga Alliance.

Our Curriculum

In more detail…
Pranayama

Prana – breath, Yama – control – in accordance with the great yogis, breath equals to energy flow.

Every morning will begin with pranayama classes, where you will have the chance to get grounded, look inwards and set intention and energy for the day ahead. You will practice your breath and gain conscious awareness of your body.

In this class you will learn and practice:

  • Yogic breathing.
  • Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing).
  • Bhramari (humming bee breath).
  • Ujjayi (the psychic or victorious breath).
  • Bhastrika (bellows breath).
  • Kapalbhati (frontal brain cleansing breath)

This class focuses on analysing and dissecting basic & advanced postures. You’ll learn the correct alignment based on the traditional approach and in line with body mechanics, understand how to offer hands-on adjustments and how to structure them in a Vinyasa class. The teachers will always be present in your practice, observing and providing feedback.

In this class you will learn:

  • Analysis of the 80 postures and more (arm balances, back-bends, and inversions).
  • Modifications, other variations, and advanced variation of all postures.
  • How to use yoga props in your yoga practice.
  • Adjustment (physical & verbal) theory and hands-on practice.

We will travel back in time to India and dive deep into the origins of yoga and how it reached today’s modern form. Focusing on philosophical concepts, you will learn how to adapt and apply them to our modern lives. These lessons are held in a conversational format, which enables students to actively engage and explore meanings through their own vision and stories.

In this class you will learn and discuss:

  • History and meaning of yoga.
  • The eight-limb path of yoga according to Patanjali.
  • Prana, Vayus, Nadis, Chakras, Kundalini.
  • The Gunas, Doshas, Introduction to a yogic diet.
  • Mudras, Bandhas (energy locks) and Mantras.
  • The meaning of Om.
  • Lifestyle and ethics as a yoga practitioner and a teacher.

You will take a deep dive into the understanding of the human body in today’s modern world, with a focus on the nervous, skeletal and muscular system. You will gain a deep understanding of how these systems work in harmony to create movement and gain the ability to articulate this through your yoga practice, teaching and everyday life.

This class is delivered in a conversational setting. Over the years, we have been able to master the delivery of complex concepts in a fun, interactive and intuitive way.

In this class you will learn and discuss:

  • Introduction to Anatomy and different body systems
  • Analysis of the skeletal system & connective tissue, muscular system and the nervous system
  • Movement analysis of all major joints and muscles and direct application to yoga practice & asanas

We believe that you begin teaching from the moment you enter our shala. We aim for the lessons to be confidence-building and progressive. You’ll start with one-to-one lessons and gradually moving to bigger groups of students, eventually, you delivering a 30 minutes class to your fellow yogis. Through regular feedback by teachers and fellow students, you will have a chance to improve as you go along and about finding your unique voice and style as a teacher.

In this class you will learn and practice:

  • Yoga Union Vinyasa structure & principles
  • Practice teaching & receiving feedback
  • Observing others teaching & giving feedback
  • Learn & practice hands-on adjustment
  • Instruction, teaching styles, and qualities of a teacher
  • Voice projection and floor presence
  • Planning and structuring a class
  • Dealing with injuries and safety precautions

The afternoon classes will serve to introduce the students to various styles of yoga, in addition to core course specification. Alternating, you will take part in restorative practice and themed workshops.

RESTORATIVE
To compliment your morning dynamic Yang practice, the afternoons will focus on Yin practice. The classes will feature Yin yoga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative, Gentle Hatha.

WORKSHOPS
Asana-related, these workshops will cover handstands, hip openers, fun modules like partner yoga and spiritual immersions such as eye gazing and bhakti.
